Story Compass Workbook

Your story doesn’t need an(other) outline.
It needs a compass.

A guided workbook to help you reconnect with your story, your characters, and yourself as a writer — without a rigid structure that crushes your Creative Goblin energy.

Hey there, writer. I see you.

You’ve had this idea circling your brain for weeks… or months… maybe years.

But now? You’re in one of these places:

  • Your story has been languishing in “some day I’ll finish” energy
  • You’re stuck somewhere between the first and third act (aka the Murky Middle)
  • You’ve got a glimmer of an idea and a dream to make it real
  • Your story feels wrapped up with nowhere to go
  • Something else entirely — but it’s just… not moving forward

If any of that made you feel called out… #sorrynotsorry. Because, my friend, the Story Compass is for you.

Here’s the thing nobody tells you

You’ve probably been told the fix is a different kind of outline (more in-depth, less in-depth, high level, narrative…). Plot points that show up at the “right time,” based on a structure that works for the creator of that structure’s brain. (Never mine, let me tell ya.)

Here’s the reality: the Story Compass is NOT a rigid structure, nor a blueprint, nor THE ONE WAY to finish your book. That’s not what I’m about.

I built this because I watched writer after writer — myself included — get so tangled up trying to force their story into somebody else’s box that they forgot why they fell in love with it to begin with.

The Story Compass is a series of reflective exercises designed to help you think about your story from different angles. To see it, and yourself, in a different light.

Introducing: The Story Compass

A direct path to the core of your story. Here’s what’s inside:

1. Reflective prompts

to reconnect you with who you are as a writer, and why you’re the one meant to write this story.

2. Guided exercises

to dig into the soul of your story and your characters.

3. A super fun, low-stakes brain dump exercise

to get your story out of your head in a liberating way — no perfecting, no censoring, just getting it out.

By the end, you’ll have your story’s True North — the compass to guide you to The End.

Don’t just take my word for it

“After working with the Story Compass, I feel ready to work on my project again! I feel inspired and rejuvenated and ready to tackle my next draft.”

— Rain M. (Story Compass Experience client)

“Your feedback was incredibly helpful and insightful. The suggestions you made not only clarified some areas I was struggling with, but also provided new ways to enhance the narrative. It’s clear that you took the time to really understand the heart of the story, and I’m excited to implement your suggestions.”

— Linda D. (Story Compass Workbook+Feedback client)

“Your workbook is amazing and I realize now how helpful every little bit is with the whole developing part and your feedback quadruples this effect! It took me from vague idea to being in the middle of developing a complete story. And even if I could have figured it out by myself it would have taken me way longer than 5 days. If at all. It might just have stayed inside me as a vague idea.”

— Ronja J. (Story Compass Workbook+Feedback client)
